In today's world, men are becoming increasingly more isolated and lack genuine, deep relationships with other men. Unfortunately, the statistics show that this is the case for Christian men too. While our faith in Jesus is personal, it is also more than that: we as believers have the privilege to live together in community with others. The good news of the gospel is that God doesn't expect us to grow in our faith alone!
Starting this fall, we'll be hearing stories and testimonies from men in our church about the value of deep, meaningful relationships as believers during Sharpen Up breakfast. We will continue to strive together to live into our Proverbs 27:17 theme verse "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (NIV).
The goal of the Sharpen Up ministry is to provide an opportunity for men of all ages to gather together for a hearty breakfast, an encouraging message from Scripture, and the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with other men who are trying to be all that God would have them to be. Register on Realm so we can make plans for food!
